Do you know when it's a good time to be sneaky? When you're in peril and your life depends upon you creeping away. Or when it's easier and safer to quietly go about your business, slowly making sure to be as silent as possible, to keep yourself safe - to not get hit. It's a sad commentary on the human condition that people will understand what I'm talking about.
Another good time to be sneaky is if you are planning a surprise for a loved one. If you can't be sneaky, then, the fun of the surprise is ruined. Birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, these all come to mind as good times to be sneaky.
But, sneaking around on your loved one - having an affair - is not a good time to be sneaky. Of course, you should be sneaky about an affair; you just shouldn't be having one. Now, I know, this sounds sanctimonious and judgmental. But, it's not. If you're in a relationship, be in that relationship. If you don't want to be with someone, leave them. Too much drama is caused by the cheated-on partner finding out about the cheater. Houses get burned down, tired get slashed, billboards get erected, wangers get lopped off. Not to mention the homicidal reactions. Better to just cut ties completely and move on. Because you will be found out. And the consequences can be severe.
If you're in school, that is not a good time to be sneaky. Especially if it's a matter of cheating academically. Being caught, having your grades made even worse than you feared they'd be, and being labelled a cheater are not worth it. That shit could stick with you a long time. Is it worth it? No. As for simply sneaking around the school, do you want to be the creepy kid that everyone misunderstands and picks on? I mean, you could want that, but why would you? So, relax the stealth mode.
Being sneaky at work, stealing from the company, is not worth it. This is not just grades, here, but criminal. Is it worth jail time to take from the company? I don't think so. Just don't do it.
What I'm saying is that there are times and places to be sneaky. There are ways and means to slink along and not be noticed. And, of course, you do what you want. If you think you should cheat or steal - be sneaky in ways that aren't exactly good for you - that's up to you. Choose wisely and make your stealth activity count.
